In my experience I find yoga to be more than a workout – it is a lifestyle that encompasses soul, body and mind. I remember when I got my first yoga mat and started to attend my first yoga classes. It was so new to me and I was so self-conscious about my ability to do the poses and the clothing I was wearing.

Hi There!

My name is Lidia. WomenYogaJourney.com is for women who have a passion, an interest or just a curiosity in yoga practice and for those who want to find some really cool and essential yoga stuff. I hope that what I share on this website further inspires you on your journey in the magical and life-transforming world of yoga.

With practice and persistence, I fell in love with yoga. Not only did I learned the poses I was being taught, but I also learn about breathing, meditation, asanas, yamas & niyamas and accepting who I am, my outer and inner beauty, peace, stillness and taking responsibility for my own happiness.

It has been a long journey and one that I am grateful to have embarked on. No matter where I am, I always make sure to find a studio and practice yoga to the fullest. Since I started my practice I have always tried to wear clothing that helps with bending, stretching and allowing the body to breathe naturally without feeling restricted. When I began practicing Bikram Yoga and Vinyasa Hot Yoga I also had to choose clothing that allowed me to cool off faster, so breathable and soft fabrics were my first choice.

My goal with this site is to share with you a little bit of what yoga is all about as well as the clothing and accessories you will need to support your practice of yoga. If you are at a point where you have made the decision to check out what yoga is all about and you want to know what the best yoga clothing for women is, including what women yoga pants to get, what the best yoga tops are and the best yoga mat to own, feel free to explore my site and please contact me with any questions or comments you might have.

Welcome to my site – I hope it furthers your journey. Thank you for stopping by!

Why AntiGravity Yoga

It’s really awesome to find new and exciting ways to practice yoga. One new discovery I made recently is AntiGravity Yoga. AntiGravity or Aerial Yoga was established in 1991 by Christopher Harrison, a former gymnast, and Broadway aerial choreographer. It involves a series of techniques inspired by yoga, Pilates, calisthenics and aerial acrobatics in a hammock, …

The Story About Marichyasana

Today I learned the interesting background about the yoga posture called Marichyasana – sometimes called Marichi’s Pose or the Sage’s Pose. Marichi means Ray of Light, either from the sun or the moon. Marichyasana  is a seated, twisting yoga posture that strengthens and stretches your vertebral column and it stretches your shoulders, releasing tension and …
